And her beautiful family : Tony, Heather and Cherry.  I met these lovely Aussies in 2004, wow over 6 years ago! I have enjoyed (more than enjoyed) reuniting and catching up with them.  Their joy and peace in life is contagious.  Possum Lane will forever hold a special place in my heart.  Every time I visit it feels like a retreat which begins with the narrow little wooden bridge you must first cross to get to the driveway (I always get nervous!),  with its luscious organic garden full of fresh herbs and veggies, the peace and quite, the refreshing pool, and of course the beautiful company.  Phoebe and I can sit and talk over tea for hours. Ahhhhh, I LOVE IT! The fresh smells, wholefoods, and the best part...the family!

playgroup : rolls, rolls, rolls!

Aubrey and I attend a playgroup here on the Sunny Coast with a bunch of other really wonderful families.  The little babies were newborns when we got here, and now they are growing and full of wonderful rolls! Aubrey has started to really take notice of babies and is really good at being gentle with them.  I don't feel ready for baby #2 yet, but I have to say that watching her loving on babies is certainly getting me there!

mikaela louise : famous warrior

This weekend I had the opportunity to photograph this little beauty for my friend Gen and her husband Tim! Ben and I not only met each other on the Beach To Bush DTS (through YWAM in Australia)  , but we also met Gen! It was so neat to see my Canadian friend again down under, and to meet her husband, their adorable little boy - Ethan - as well as the newest addition to the family.... Miss Mikaela Louise.  Gen was telling us that they had some difficulty during the pregnancy, but Mikaela is a strong little girl.  They gave her the middle name "Louise" because she is a fighter! How beautiful!

Gen and Tim, it was great to see you guys :) Here are a few photos while you wait for the rest! We will have to get together again soon!

aubrey : 15 months old

We have been having so much fun with our little 15 month old! She is so full of smiles, showing off her 4 front teeth. I am loving the gap between her two top teeth! Her auburn-blonde whispies are growing into ringlets. She is nearly impossible to photograph, always on the move, especially when she sees mom with the camera.  Getting a photo of her face is SO difficult! She immediately looks away from the camera....she is pretty cheeky! She is cuddly and silly, trying to extend the fun even if it takes fake laughing while scrunching up her nose and showing off her teeth.  10 kilos and growing.  Learning her manners through baby sign.

We took a little day trip on our holiday break up to the hinterland town of Monteville, QLD.  Very charming with lovely little shops and fantastic views!

We had a week of non-stop rain! Thankfully we are back to mostly sunny, beachy weather here on the Sunshine Coast of Australia.  But a rain here and there is a great way to cool us off every now and again....just please not for a week straight!

When my mom and sister were visiting we took Aubrey to splash in some puddles and get some fresh air once the rain finally stopped. Needless to say she loved it!

selah & ziah : beach babies

Christen is another awesome mom that I have met here on the Sunshine Coast. Her and her husband are the leaders of a DTS (discipleship training school) here at the YWAM Sunny Coast.  Since the day we arrived they were so generous in making sure we had everything from toys to blankets for Aubrey, it was such a blessing and helped us settle in that much quicker.  Aubrey has really enjoyed trying to follow Selah around, and I have enjoyed getting to know Christen!  We had a little mini-session with them at Mudjimba Beach before they headed off to Canada for Christmas a few weeks ago.  We miss you guys and can't wait to hang out more when you get back to Oz!  Enjoy this little peek at your photos!
