Australia : Last Beach Days

Well our 9 months of living on the Sunshine Coast of Australia is quickly coming to a close. The weather is cooling off (we have a heater on at night and early morning!) but thankfully the sun has been shining most days and it is perfect Autumn weather.  When it is chilly and dark outside it feels like Christmas to me.  But in midday if feels like the beginning of summer back home.  Just a couple days ago Aubrey and I headed to beach. We haven't done that much these last couple of months, so I thought I had better take some photos!  She has grown so much since we first moved here.

Mudjimba Beach : The S Family

Soon after we had moved to Australia in September last year, we met this lovely family in the park.  Aubrey was just 13 months at the time, and Eden decided that she would show her around the playground.  Ben and Sami got to talking, he invited us to Christmas Carols, then we ended up having Christmas lunch with them, and the rest is history :) We have simply enjoyed getting to know Sami and Reeta, as well as their sweet children - Eden and Daniel.  We are all Christians who share in the desire to grow closer in relationship to Jesus Christ every day, and when we see this family, we always have encouraging and uplifting conversations about how God is shaping, challenging, and growing us in our walk with Him.   It was fun to be able to capture some photographs of them before we leave (less than 3 weeks!).

1st Birthday : Princess Sophia

This little blondie was so adorable, she just kept going back for more treats and stuffing her cute chubby cheeks!

I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable little girl's 1st birthday party! There is something that is just so sweet and exciting about a child's first birthday....it's something you don't want to miss and I really enjoy documenting them!

In case you couldn't tell, Kat is extremely talented when it comes to decorating and artsy things.  I just loved all the sweet little treats that she did up for Sophia's party...they tasted amazing too!

Kat I hope you can cherish these photographs for years to come! Your children are absolutely adorable and so stinkin cute!

Our Vacation : Fraser Island

Last month my parents came to Australia for a visit and we enjoyed our vacation with them.  It was nice to get out of our tiny flat and spend some time in a few different places on the coast.  We also had a 4 day 4WD adventure on the beautiful Fraser Island.  Here are a few photos from our time there :)

6 Weeks New : Zac and Kai ... Williston Newborn Photographer

Last month I met the mother of these gorgeous boys at our playgroup and having never photographed twins before, I offered to photograph her boys.  I am so glad that she accepted! These sweet little guys were so lovely to spend the morning with. It amazes me that they are just so used to one another's presence that when one cried, he wouldn't trigger the other.  I'd say that is a huge blessing for mum! She, by the way, was incredible. She also has the sweetest little girl who is Aubrey's age, and for a mother of three little ones she was just as calm as could be.

Point Cartwright : A Favourite Place

I really love this spot on the Sunshine Coast of Australia. It is a beautiful place for children to play in the water (shallow with no waves), and great for walking the long paths, or just relaxing and having a picnic.

I took these photos in March when Aubrey was 17 months old :) I love watching her grow. It is happening so fast...but it is also such an  amazing and beautiful process!
